UN says high-level meeting over grain deal to happen next week

UN, May 5 (PRIME) -- A high-level meeting to discuss the Black Sea Grain Initiative will take place next week in Istanbul, Farhan Haq, deputy spokesperson for U.N. Secretary General Antonio Guterres, told PRIME on Friday.

“The U.N. representatives will partake in a technical meeting organized by Turkey’s government regarding the initiative as part of preparation for a high-level meeting that is to happen in Istanbul next week,” Haq said.

“We hope for constructive and open discussions from all sides with the aim of overcoming obstacles, and we are working on prolongation and complete implementation of the imitative.”
